In terms of practical application, students will be introduced to the initial steps of creating the fundamental letters of Arabic calligraphy. The course focuses on mastering the techniques used in calligraphy writing using pencils, brushes, watercolour, oil paint, crayons, and other materials. Students are exposed to the techniques of producing calligraphic artwork and taught how to use other senses, such as intellect, heart, and emotions, to create high-quality calligraphic art. The course also focuses on individual and group vocal control and harmony in singing. Additionally, students will be introduced to techniques in group singing, common singing issues, and ways to overcome them. The course focuses on posture, breathing, pronunciation, registration, and tone production. Overall, this activity enhances the trainees\u2019 memory, allowing them to familiarize themselves with all their peers within just half an hour. Meanwhile, the spiritual training segment encourages trainees to be more self-aware and sensitive to others. In a performance setting, a kompang ensemble typically consists of three groups, each with its respective roles. The first group, known as &#8220;Pelalu,&#8221; comprises several players who perform a specific, uniform drumming pattern as the foundation beat. The second group, called &#8220;Peningkah,&#8221; usually consists of a single leader who plays a crucial role in the performance. The third group, known as &#8220;Pelanak,&#8221; plays decorative rhythmic patterns to complement the overall drumming structure.
